The Marató i Mitja, born in 1999, runs from the Jaume I university campus on the edge of Castelló up the GR-33 to the Sant Joan de Penyagolosa sanctuary, roughly 60 km with about 3,800 m of climbing (estimated). The 2027 edition is set for 24 April; the weekend draws around 2,100 runners across races.
